Sustainability pays off – Gartner ranking confirms it

US-based research firm Gartner has released its “Top 25 Supply Chains” for the 21st time. Leading the global ranking – for the third year in a row – is Schneider Electric, the French provider of energy and automation solutions.

According to Gartner, the company combines sustainability with operational efficiency: artificial intelligence, innovative technologies and a clear climate strategy help manage risks and reduce costs across the value chain.

TransformIT Europe: A stage for the green transition

Schneider Electric also took centre stage at the inaugural TransformIT Europe conference and exhibition in Brussels. During the launch event in May 2025, Mary Poddar, Supply Chain Renewables Programme Manager at Schneider Electric, spoke about the vital role of sustainable supply chains in shaping Europe’s green business future.

TransformIT Europe demonstrated that digital and sustainable transformation requires exactly these kinds of innovative solutions – combining Greentech, IT, and future-proof supply chain management.

Nvidia climbs the ranks – with robotics and digital twins

Coming in second in Gartner’s ranking is US chipmaker Nvidia, recognized particularly for its strengths in artificial intelligence. Nvidia leverages its own AI technology to plan new production facilities and secure supply chains worldwide – a strategic move given current geopolitical risks in semiconductor manufacturing.

German industry makes its mark: Siemens and BMW in the Top 25

Two German companies also made it into the Top 25: Siemens at number 15 and BMW just below the top group. Both are heavily investing in digitalization and green supply chains – a clear sign of Germany’s commitment to sustainable industrial transformation.

Conclusion: Greentech and green business lead the world’s best supply chains

Whether it’s Schneider Electric or Nvidia, the world’s top supply chains make one thing clear: sustainability, digitalization and innovation are key to building resilient and future-ready economies.

TransformIT Europe provides the platform to advance these themes – delivering strong momentum for Europe’s journey into a climate-friendly future.
