Resilience, security, and data sovereignty are moving into focus – and with them, EU cloud providers. The TransformIT Europe event will highlight how sustainable digitalization, greentech, and green business are shaping the future – and how European solutions can score points.

European cloud providers are becoming increasingly important. They offer security, resilience, and data sovereignty – topics that are crucial for companies in times of global uncertainty.
Hybrid Models and Hyperscalers
Hybrid cloud solutions use according to a study by EuroCloud Deutschland_eco e. V. meanwhile 57% of companies – a significant increase compared to 40% in the previous year. European hyperscalers are gaining importance especially in backup, compliance, and data residency.
Security and data sovereignty are the most important criteria. Accordingly, business-critical applications such as Backup & Disaster Recovery (66%), container technologies (64%), or compliance solutions (64%) are preferably assigned to European providers.
Future Strategy and Industry-Specific Opportunities
Companies rely on regular security audits and continuous monitoring to be able to react quickly. Decentralized architectures could shape the cloud landscape in the future.
The trade sector focuses on responsible action, the public sector on open source solutions, banks and insurance companies on open API structures. European providers can thus position themselves as a secure alternative to, for example, American hyperscalers.
Sustainable Transformation and Green Business
Greentech, sustainable transformation, and green business are central drivers of the digital future. The new trade fair and conference TransformIT Europe is dedicated to these very topics. In addition to sustainable digitalization, digital sovereignty also plays a key role here.
Important impulses were set at the kick-off in May this year by, among others, Prof. Dr. Harald Wehnes: The computer science professor at the University of Würzburg shows ways and alternatives. For example, EuroStack relies on a networked strategy in which European technologies, financing, governance, and sustainability are brought together. The goal is a digital infrastructure that promotes innovation and protects values at the same time.
