More Sustainability in Production and Use
The iX3 is based on the new BMW platform “Neue Klasse” and is designed to conserve resources not only in operation but also in manufacturing. This includes a higher proportion of secondary raw materials, recycled plastics from marine sources, and the use of green electricity in production.
Invitation to TransformIT Europe 2026
We see these developments as an important step – and would like to warmly invite BMW, as well as other automotive manufacturers, to present their sustainable vehicles, technologies, and mobility solutions at the TransformIT Europe Expo & Conference 2026.
The event brings together leading minds from industry, technology, and politics to jointly shape Europe’s digital and sustainable transformation.
Circular Economy as a Future Opportunity
Despite the progress, many experts still see great potential – especially in the area of Circular Economy.
Pioneers like Prof. Michael Braungart (Cradle to Cradle NGO) demand that vehicles be designed from the outset in such a way that materials and components can be completely reused or recycled.
This “end-to-end circular thinking” could significantly reduce resource consumption and CO₂ emissions in the long term – and further strengthen the industry’s competitiveness.
See you at TransformIT Europe in May 2026 in Brussels.
